QA Engineer

Job Purpose

The purpose of this job is to provide strong support for software development to a US-based client.

Duties and responsibilities

Review and analyze system specifications
Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
Evaluate product code according to specifications
Create logs to document testing phases and defects
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Help troubleshoot issues
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Qualifications/Skills

Minimum 3 years Experience in Testing
Experience in Software Development is an added advantage
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
Experience in Automated and Manual QA methodology
Expertise in writing Azure Test Plans
Familiarity with Agile & Scrum frameworks and regression testing is a plus
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. Selenium, Jira, Zephyr, TestRail) and SQL

Strong organizational skills

Working conditions

Should be able to work in shifts, supporting clients in US time zones
Work location is in Udupi
